Emergency responders sharpen skills in commander training

Emergency responders from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland have been strengthening their response readiness by taking part in specialist commander training.

This vital training reinforces the importance of joint decision-making and multi-agency collaboration in the event of an incident, ensuring the best outcomes for our communities when it matters most.

Over the past three years, we've partnered with Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue, East Midlands Ambulance Service and local authorities to deliver this training to:
749 individuals
25+ organisations
Continue building and strengthening our multi-agency response.

Training sessions follow the JESIP principles - a set of common guidelines used by emergency responders to identify the risks involved in an incident and the actions needed to address them.

(JESIP stands for Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles).
