Advice to help you get ready to respond in the event of an emergency.

Some incidents can be life threatening. We encourage you to stay informed and make a plan to help you be better prepared for unexpected situations.

What you should do

We encourage residents to be prepared for any emergency situations in the future:

Develop a Household Emergency Plan

If the danger is outside

  • Stay inside
  • Close all doors and windows
  • Listen to local radio and TV stations for updates until you are told it is safe to leave

If the danger is inside

  • Stay outside
  • Don't return to the building until you are told it is safe to do so
  • Call the emergency services on 999 and follow their instructions
