Prepare yourself
Advice to help you get ready to respond in the event of an emergency.
Some incidents can be life threatening. We encourage you to stay informed and make a plan to help you be better prepared for unexpected situations.
What you should do
We encourage residents to be prepared for any emergency situations in the future:
If the danger is outside
- Stay inside
- Close all doors and windows
- Listen to local radio and TV stations for updates until you are told it is safe to leave
If the danger is inside
- Stay outside
- Don't return to the building until you are told it is safe to do so
- Call the emergency services on 999 and follow their instructions
