LRF marks first National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism

People and partners across the region paused to remember those impacted by terrorism on the inaugural National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism.

The new national day of remembrance has been created to remember and recognise those whose lives have been changed forever by terrorism, as well as supporting victims and survivors to get access to the help they need to rebuild their lives.

The commemoration will be held every year on 21 August.

A two-minute silence was held at a national ceremony in London to honour those lost to, and affected by, terrorism.

If you or someone you know has been impacted, support and resources are available through the Victims of Terrorism Support Hub: https://terrorismsurvivorhub.org.uk/

Our terrorism page has information on how to help prevent an attack, and what to do if it happens.
