Paws for thought: Cleo the dog is 'risk ready'

How do we know that Cleo the dog is 'risk ready'?
Because she's one of more than 600 animals cared for every year by the RSPCA Woodside animal centre in Leicester, one of the businesses to take part in our free Risk Ready Businesses project.

Risk Ready Businesses provides advice and resources to help local businesses and organisations prepare for key risks like severe weather, power cuts or cyber-attacks – so they can keep running, even in an emergency.

Raichel Phipps, Head of Resource and Governance at Woodside, said: “We realised that, like all organisations, there are lots of ways in which Woodside could be adversely impacted by risks, like power cuts or a disease outbreak."

We signed up to the free support from the LRF to strengthen our business resilience and create a Business Continuity Plan that will help us to keep operating 24/7, even in an emergency. It makes sense that, by preparing in advance, we’ll be able to respond more quickly in an emergency and also bounce back quicker, which means we can continue offering a lifeline to more animals like Cleo.
