If you missed us at the latest flood drop-in, get in touch!
Our Risk Ready Communities team has been meeting local people at a flood drop-in session in North West Leicestershire.
Community resilience experts from the Risk Ready Communities programme were on hand to talk to local people about:
- Preparing for flooding and other local risks, including summertime hazards
- Building stronger communities by staying connected and checking in on our neighbours
- Creating (and refreshing) Community Response Plans
They were joined by flooding experts from LRF partner agencies, including Leicestershire County Council, the Environment Agency and Severn Trent, as well as national flooding champion Flood Mary and representatives from Whitwick Parish Council.
Alice Moorcroft-Hughes, Delivery Manager for Risk Ready Communities, said: "It was great to talk to local people about what they can do prepare for local risks, like flooding and other summertime hazards.
"People can also sign up now for our free webinars on Summer Preparedness (2 and 4 June) and Community Response Plans (1 and 2 July)."
